Boomhower earns Tod Division Player of the Month honours

Overage forward Nate Boomhower corrals a loose puck versus Napanee.Nate Boomhower is the co-recipient of the February play of the month award for the Tod Division. Boomhower had 19 points in 9 games when action resumed in February.

A native of Belleville, Ontario, Nate Boomhower finds himself in his fourth year with the Picton Pirates. After a 6 game appearance with the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers just before Christmas, Nate returned to the Picton Pirates and picked up right where he left off when the season resumed. As of this article, he’s tied for the Pirates’ points lead with 14 goals and 52 assists through 29 games this season. In the month of February alone he put up 19 of those points in just 9 games. With the regular season nearing a close, and playoffs just around the corner, it appears that Boomhower is hitting his stride at the perfect time.
